To the living, I am gone. To the sorrowful, I will never return. To the angry, I was cheated, but to the happy, I am at peace and to the faithful, I have never left. I cannot be seen, but I can be heard. So as you stand, upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful sea – remember me. As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty - remember me. As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity – remember me. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.

Joanne Feis Dickstein

April 18, 2018

Dear Family of Margo, you know how much she loved you and spending time in Florida. I don't like to say she was; she is alive, well, and home in heaven. With that being said your mom and grandma was more than special. I am Josephine Feis's daughter, Joanne. Margo spent many a holiday in my parents' home. She remains a part of our family. She spoke so proudly of her granddaughters. I believe Winter and Katelyn. Forgive me if I have one of your names wrong. You are her jewels! Dave this past Thanksgiving or was it Christmas she so looked forward to be able to spend your birthday and holiday with you. The memory I would like to share is one Easter dinner she joined us. I came late as usual. As I came in the house quietly she saw me and I signaled to her not to let on I was there. I went downstairs to put on my pink and white furry bunny ears. I then made my nonchalant, silly entrance back upstairs to the dining room, to lighten the mood of my dad for being late. Everyone got a kick out of me saying, "the Easter Bunny is finally here!" Margo didn't skip a beat and said. " I think she looks like a playboy bunny"! We all had a good laugh as Margo kept a straight face! I look far from a playboy bunny. It was just the way she came out with it that it made it all the more funny and innocent!
I pray God comfort all of you at this time. We too are mourning the loss and heaven's gain of my nephew Aaron, Coach Feis, one of the victims of the Parkland Shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. May God through the Holy Spirit gives you the comfort and peace he is giving us. When you shed a tear or more remember Margo just journeyed to another shore. Remember "Footprints in the Sand". Jesus's footprints go deep into the sand for you now. He is carrying you. Hope this brings you comfort and find it fitting as Margo loved the beach, sand, and seashore. Photo is of my mom with
Margo. Sincerely, Joanne
