Marie Maragh

A resident of Poet saint Lucie, Florida. Marie passed away peacefully at Port Saint Lucie Hospital. Marie affectionately known as (‘Nana’) was born and raised in the beautiful island of Jamaica, West Indies (Prisman River, Portland). She fell in love and married Hedley Owen Thompson Maragh and had an only son, Carlton Maragh, who currently resides in England. Nana Marie migrated from England to the United States and resided in Hackensack, New Jersey, where she lived for many years. Nana worked at Bergen regional Medical Center as a Nurse’s Aide for many years and retired. After her retirement, she relocated to Port Lucie, Florida. Nana Marie was one of five children, born to the late William Bailey and Elizabeth Bailey affectionately known as “Lizzy”. Nana Marie is survived by a sister Eva Hylton, Edward Bailey (deceased), Adanelle Bailey (deceased) and Ashton Bailey (deceased). She will forever be remembered by her devoted sister Eva Hylton, and brother-in-law Vernon Hylton. She is also survived by her son Carlton Maragh, daughter-in-law Lorna Maragh, grandchildren Chantel Maragh, Andrew Maragh, Senel Maragh and Stephen Maragh. Great grandchildren Dylan Maragh-Francis, Jacob Maragh, Theo Maragh, and Arianna Maragh. Nieces, Marvia Williams, Margaret dyer, Beverly Lucas, Bernadette Esposito and Jennifer Bailey. Nephews, Donovan Wilson, Andrew Bailey, Charlie Bailey, Elkan Bailey and Alex Bailey, along with other relatives and friends who were blessed to know her. Nana Marie loved being with family and having fun with friends. Nana Marie touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her sense of humoral the way to the end. On January 19, 2016 at 4:00 am, Nana Marie went to sleep in the Lord. We thank you all for honoring her life and legacy of this wonderful woman, a mother and friend.
