Olive and I had a long friendship dating back to 1964, when we both entered nursing training on the same day. We became very good friends and we studied together and did most things together. She was a loyal , caring, person. After graduation we went our separate ways. I migrated to Canada and she went to the United States. Prior to my leaving, Olive performed her kindest act ever when she took three weeks off work to make my wedding dress as a gift. It was perfect. We kept in touch over the years and met occasionally. Olive spent some time with my family in Canada when she attended our hospital reunion in Toronto. I visited her in Boston and Long Island and we spent a nice day with her at her home in Mandeville, Jamaica where we were certainly well entertained, As everyone knows Olive was a great cook. Thanks to Gary I had the opportunity to speak with her two weeks ago. Neither of us knew then that it would be our last conversation on earth. Olive, I will always remember you, I will cherish our friendship . For now, enjoy your well deserved rest, till we meet on the other side.
Your friend Winnie.

Aunty I can't believe that I are no longer around. I will surely miss you.

Whenever we spoke you always gave me good advice. Your home was always welcoming and full of life, love and laughter. You were always keen to have family and friends around you for their company and good food. You were certainly a kindhearted person. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to know you and love you. Rest in peace 💝

Miss Olive,

I can’t believe you are no longer here and Jesus called you home. I’m so honored I got to spend time with you during these last few months. You made me laugh a lot especially when we joked about orange face. I will miss you dearly.
Your memory will live on forever.

Rest in God’s Perfect Peace!
