Theresa Nugent

Theresa Marie Nugent died peacefully on Sunday morning January 5, 2020 at her home of almost 40 years in Deer Park, New York. She was a beloved mother of three sons Scott, Lee and Glenn and loving partner for over 30 years to Albert Palmgren. She was also an adoring grandmother of 7 grandchildren, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, dear friend to many, and friend to all.

Terry had a passion for life outmatched only by her love for her family and friends. When she was not hosting parties, including her famous poker nights for friends, or spending time with her grandchildren, she was traveling the world with Al. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel and see the sights, eat the food, drink the wine, and of course, play all of the different slot machines.

Terry was born in the Bronx, New York and embodied all of qualities associated with a true New Yorker. She was resilient, tough, determined, had a can-do attitude, but most importantly, she was kind and generous. She was a great listener and a treasured friend to so many. She made all of those around her better people and her greatest qualities are ever present in her family and friends who are blessed to carry forward her spirit. Terry was 73 years old.

Viewing will be on Tuesday January 7, 2020 at Boyd/Caratozollo Funeral Home in Deer Park from 2 – 4:30 pm and 7 – 9:30 pm. Mass will be held at Sts. Cyril and Methodius on Wednesday January 8, 2020 at 10:15am.
