Barbara Owen Verble passed away March 20, 2018, in Boca Raton, Florida, just a few days after celebrating her 93rd birthday. Barbara hailed from the small town of Mt. Vernon, OH, where she graduated Mt. Vernon High School class of 1943. She met the love of her life and future husband, Joe T. Verble, a dashing soldier from Texas at a USO dance where she served as a hostess during WWII. Their marriage of 65 years moved them to Pennsauken to Atco, NJ where Barbara became a homemaker and the mother of four. Her son, Joe, is a special needs individual, and Barbara was active in the advocation and promotion of special needs services in New Jersey. Barbara was a member of Haddonfield Methodist Church for over 58 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Barbara was known for her creativity as a seamstress, quilter, and doll maker. She is survived by her brother Bernard Owen, Howard, OH, her children Gail Carnal of San Antonio, TX, Maurine Falcone and her husband James Falcone, Jr. of Deerfield Beach, FL, Barbara E. Verble and Carl Williams of Miami Beach, FL and Joe O. Verble of Clayton, NJ. Barbara was proud of her grandchildren James Falcone III and his wife Amy of Deerfield, Beach, FL, Andrew Falcone of Phoenixville, PA, and Lauren and Graham Williams, both residing in San Francisco, CA. Ella Falcone is the only great granddaughter. A memorial service will be held this summer at the Haddonfield Methodist Church.
