Hello Bernice, God is so wonderful, he has given you three godly, loving men to be with in your life. Ed was an amazing man, and I know he made you happy for the years that he was with you, as you did for him. Love never ends, and God has blessed you with so much love  over the years. I’m so glad we are your friend and sending blessings always. I do pray for Ed in the morning and also Steve. And Richard. God bless you and God bless Ed,  Steven  & Richard in heaven

Ed and I were married for five years. When you marry a man who’s 88, every day is a blessing, and we knew it.
We met in our church bereavement group eight years ago. We each had been widowed twice. The group would go to dinner after our meetings, and I soon felt drawn to the man with a twinkle in his eyes and a skip in his step. I wasn’t looking for love, but amazingly, I found it with Ed. 
Our love story inspired the bereavement group that there was hope after loss.  We were applauded by the Italian-American Society as the first of its members  to marry!  The choir we sang with sang at our wedding. 
It was a love story planned by God, we believed. We thanked Him every day for the love we shared. Ed was always loving and upbeat. He fought his health battles like the Marine he was. I know he enjoys everlasting Life with God. Rest in peace, my love.

God’s timeline is difficult to understand. He called you home too soon for those of us who know and love you. The St. Jude’s Grief Group is inspired by your marriage to Bernice. Your love for each other gives us hope that love and happiness can happen again.  You will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace dear Ed.

Uncle Ed gave me my first baseball glove. He was everything you could ask for in an Uncle- fun, mischievous and happy to pass on many pearls of wisdom on life, liberty, family and joy.  I will greatly miss my Uncle Ed, RIP.

So sad to hear of Ed's death. We became good friends when he joined the Seacoast Detachment of the Marine Corps League in Portsmouth, NH . Ed lived in Melbourne Beach, just a couple miles from us.
Ed was a loyal member of our Detachment and often shared rides to meetings. Ed was proud of his service as a Marine and especially proud of his grandson who was in recon.
When his second wife died, he moved to Florida and married Bernice Crane, five years ago. I was pleased to be involved in his Honor Flight that was taken  from Melbourne. Like many of us, it was one of the best days of his life. I remember how helpful Bernice was in making his Honor Flight so special.  Their marriage was special, a blessing to both of them for the five years they were married.
Unfortunately, due to a  newly discovered blood clot ,I will not be able to attend his funeral services but am happy to know that another member of the Seacoast Detachment, Roland Morin is making every effort to pay our final respects to Ed.
RIP, Ed for a life well lived and a proud member of the United States Marine Corps.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We were blessed to meet Ed a few times and were so happy for the two of you.
He will be missed but he is where we all want to go.
