My very first time at the range and shooting with Beth & Fred

Dear Beth, Eric and Marc, 
I am so terribly sorry and sad to have received this phone call today from Laurie. My heart is truly broken for you. I am sending each of you my love , strength and support as you face the days ahead.  I will miss my friend and cherish the memories made through the years. I continue to talk about the many fun times we all had together but the one that we always spoke of (and laughed about) the most was when  Fred was teaching me  to shoot and we would go to the range.  I never shot a gun before, showed me how to take apart the gun, clean gun and load etc- he taught me everything  and said okay, you’re ready , we’re going to the range this weekend. He sets me up and says  shoot the target . I make my first shot, never expected the recoil  and  the bullet casing ejects goes down my tank top and lands on my breast and I’m frantically trying to remove the  burning casing from my tank top , while still holding/ waving the gun (was so not dressed appropriately, tank top and heels) Fred calmly reached over me grabbing the gun and  says “next time you are coming here in a turtleneck! “ We laughed and laughed about it , always. And yes I had blisters from the burn for weeks. 
 I’m hope that that one small memory and silly Jodi/Gary and Beth/Fred story will make you smile  through the sadness.  I know that I always will! 
I can’t image how hard this is for you but please  know that  with time, your tears do turn  to smiles each and every time you speak his name .
May you find peace knowing his love surrounds you .
