

He was born in Bronx New York to John Scovin and Arlie Vermevion on October 12th 1938 . He married Barbara Kerekes on 11/23/56 in Rhode Island. He started work as an oil burner repair man then started his own company, Turnpike Furnace, that branched out to clean residential and industrial heating and cooling systems. He also started and ran several other companies during his career which specialized in disaster cleaning and restoration, pest control and retail sales of antique furniture and collectables. He also served in the United States Navy for 4 years.
Jerry is survived by his wife Barbara, son Scott, granddaughter Shelley, grandson Erik and his wife Brianna, grandchildren Eve and Heidi, Nieces Karen Sternberg and Suzie DeMeo, nephews Bob and Russell Scovin.
Funeral services will be held 9AM on Tuesday December 16th at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 380 Federal Highway Deerfield Beach Florida. Burial will take place 1PM on Tuesday 12/30/25 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. Arrangements are by Kraeer-Becker Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
