

Joel Rafael. DeLeon, 23, of Boca Raton FL, passed away on Thursday, March 12th 2015. Joel was born on November 4th, 1991 in New York NY, to Hector and Mayra DeLeon. Joel graduated from Olympic Heights High School in 2011, and his interests included pursuing a certification in auto mechanics and welding. Joel was passionate about living life to the fullest. He loved his family, friends, music, cars, and enjoyed anything related to the outdoors. He was a best friend to many, and was known for his uplifting and friendly spirit. Joel was well known for his signature phrases, and his ability to find common ground with almost anyone he came into contact with. Joel was a cheerful and caring human being, and who at a moment’s notice, would drop what he was doing to help a friend or family member in distress. He was exemplary at putting other people first, and truly valued his relationships. Joel was known for bringing people together with his positive perspective of life, and organizing fun and adventurous events. He never took a moment for granted, and spontaneity was one of his most trademark characteristics. Joel was an aspiring mechanic, musician, and businessman, and was highly admired by his friends, relatives and co-workers. Joel will forever be known as one of the most humble, loyal, and kind individuals to those who had the distinct privilege of knowing him. He will forever be remembered in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. He is survived by his father; Hector DeLeon, Mother; Mayra DeLeon; Sister, Rayma Christy; Brothers, Danny Cabral, Nicholas DeLeon, Claudio DeLeon, Onasis DeLeon, Seth Christy; Uncle, Roosevelt Herrera; Aunt, Nancy Herrera, as well as his grandfather Jose DeLeon, and many cousins, uncles, aunts, and nieces and nephews.
