

Leonard Robert Albanese, 90, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on February 19, 2026. Born on February 22, 1935, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Leonard was a devoted husband, proud father, and steadfast presence to all who knew him.
Leonard was raised in Bridgeport and attended Central High School. From an early age, he developed the work ethic and determination that would define his life and guide him through decades of dedicated craftsmanship and service.
A highly respected brick layer and residential home builder, Leonard owned and operated Leonard Albanese and Sons Builder Inc. Over the course of 70 years of work, he built not only homes, but also a reputation for reliability, skill, and pride in doing things the right way. Leonard also served in the Navy active reserves, a commitment that reflected his sense of duty and quiet strength.
On September 29, 1956, Leonard married Maryann Minotti Albanese. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Minotti Albanese, and by his children, Stephen and Leonard Albanese. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom carried a special place in his heart.
Leonard found great enjoyment in life beyond work. He loved playing golf, traveling, and taking cruises. A true admirer of jazz music, he also played the saxophone—an interest that brought him personal joy and added to the richness of his days. He was also a member of the Elks Club, valuing fellowship and community.
A Funeral Service will be held at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 Federal Hwy, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441, on March 12, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
A Reception will be held following the service at The Sea Ranch Beach Club located at 5300 N. Ocean Blvd. Sea Ranch Lakes, FL 33308 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
