TRIPOLI, MARINO L. 84 of Deerfield Beach passed away on November 22, 2013. He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Lorenzo and Rose Tripoli. A caring son and brother. A devoted husband. The best father, father-in-law, grandfather and
favorite uncle. Other background info and history for my Dad: He had a brother, Joseph, and a sister, Flora Rose, both of whom pre-deceased Marino. He was an Army Veteran, serving as an MP on Governor's Island in New York. His basic training was completed at Fort Dix, New Jersey. On September 3, 1950, he married the love of his life, Nancy Beninato, and they were together for 63 years. In addition to his surviving children, Lawrence, Nancy, and Kenneth, he was also father to Thomas who died in infancy and he was grandfather to Nelson, Nanette and Kenny, Jr. Marino was an avid sports fan. He loved the New York Giants (football), and the New York Mets, and after moving to Florida in 1971, he quickly embraced the Miami Dolphins, as well as the Marlins, Heat and Panthers. Marino was the most fun-loving, happy go lucky guy you would ever hope to meet. He was always the life of the party, and took great joy in entertaining people with his accordion playing, and later on the organ. And he always had jokes and funny stories to tell, and always made people feel that they were special. His infectious laugh and joy of life will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. The world is a little less joyful now that Marino Tripoli is no longer with us. A Memorial Mass will be said 4 pm Monday, September 25th at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach, Fl.
