Nereida Figueroa, 84, residing with her daughter in Deerfield Beach, FL went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 after an extended illness. She was born in the Dominican Republic. She was survived by her daughter Gena McDermott, son-in-law Larry McDermott, son Eugene Ferrero his fiancée Laurie Ficken, and granddaughters Brianna Leigh Donaty and Kayla Marie Donaty. She loved her profession of nursing, a job she held for over 45 years, and would come home to her second passion, gardening. There will be a private service for the immediate family on October 20th, at the Kraeer Funeral Home on Hillsboro Boulevard. The Memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, tentatively set for November 10th, 2012.
