Roger Allan Woonton, 77, of Pompano Beach, Florida, and formerly of Birmingham, Michigan, passed away on March 30, 2016. He was born July 2, 1938 to Lionel and Elizabeth Woonton. Roger was involved with the South Florida Chapter of PGA, Elks Lodge #1898, and The Hundred Club of Broward. He was also a proud member of the Adios Gold Club in Coconut Creek and Jefferson Landing Country Club in North Carolina. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Marge Woonton; children, Todd (Sandy) Woonton of Parkland, Florida, Marc (Kelly) Woonton of Boca Raton, Florida, and Matt (Dominique) Woonton of Parkland, Florida; grandchildren, Dustin, Casey, Giana, Ryan, Taylor, and Lillie; and siblings, Sally (Dave) Hershey of Michigan and Barry (Sherry) Woonton of Leesburg, Florida. Family will be planning a private Celebration of Life in the near future.
