She lived to enjoy four great grandchildren Kelly, Olive, Fredrick, and Oscar.
Rose was born in Richmond Hill, NY to Joseph Charles and Frances Shea Lynch.
Prior to moving to Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach Mrs. Pfister lived in Allendale, NJ; before that she lived in various parts of the country. She graduated from Dumont High School and St John’s School in Bergenfield, NJ.
Mrs. Pfister was an officer of Pfister Aluminum Companies, Western Home Products, HiLo Farms, the Lynfisk Orchestra and ICan Studios. Her charitable support helped the Valley Hospital and Auxiliary, Cerebral Palsy, and Muscular Dystrophy for over 50 years.
Rose’s stories and advice on business and life in general were generously offered to new acquaintances, longtime friends and family alike. She was a well known hostess for charitable and Democratic fund raising parties in New Jersey. A true animal lover Rose adored her horses, birds, dogs, cats. No one is sure whether she was happy that she turned down a date with Frank Sinatra in the ‘30s; but she surely enjoyed his live and TV performances for as long as any of us can remember.
One tough and resilient lady, Rose lived independently for fifty years after becoming blind, refusing to use a cane even when she traveled. On her behalf, we thank all of her friends and relatives for the happy times they shared.
