March 8, 1959 - February 22, 2020
Stephen Theriault was born on March 8, 1959 to parents John & Celeste Theriault in Bangor, Maine and passed away on Saturday February 22nd in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is survived by his two beloved sons Brandon Theriault of Hoboken and Ryan Theriault of Morristown, NJ, his father, John Theriault of Deerfield Beach, FL and a brother Jeff Theriault of Succasunna, NJ. After graduating from Hanover Park High School in New Jersey he went on to study at Colorado State College before he went to work in construction, and later real estate.
Steve was known as an adventurous, funny, kind, and intelligent man. As an athlete, he enjoyed football, basketball and baseball, passing down his love and knowledge to his sons. Later in adulthood, he also shared his passion for carpentry.
For the last 11 years, he was blessed to be able to live by the ocean. Whether it was in Florida in the winter or the Jersey Shore in the summer, this is where he thrived. While he was able to show great care for his parents in both locations, he also took time to follow his dream to explore the ocean and received his license in scuba diving. He will always be remembered for his fearlessness, caring nature, and free-spirited outlook on life. Steve was easy to love as he never took life too seriously and encouraged everyone to enjoy the little things, because the little things are the big things in life.
Due to a broken heart, his beloved mother Celeste Theriault, has also left us too soon, joining her son in heaven on February 27, 2020. We are comforted knowing they are in each other’s presence looking over us. They will both be missed dearly and our memories of them will be cherished in our hearts forever.
