Toni Ponto of Deerfield Beach Florida passed away peacefully on January 27, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Toni was the wife of Arthur Ponto for fifty-nine years. They were an inseparable couple since they were teenagers. She was the mother of Chris (Lori) Ponto, grandmother of Alex, Jake and Dean Ponto and several great grandchildren.

Toni was born in Providence RI where she lived until she moved to Deerfield Beach after her retirement.

She was the daughter of the late John L and Katherine Paolino. She was the sister of Janice (John) Casey of Deerfield Beach, FL; John (Geri) Paolino, Jr. of New Hampshire; Karen (Gregory) Bradley of San Diego, CA; Kathy Parsons (Jerry OConnor) of Rhode Island; and Donald (BethAnn) Paolino of Deerfield Beach.

She was the sister of the late Lawrence Paolino, Joyce Zanni, Ronald Paolino and Donna Paolino. She was the favorite auntie of several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Toni attended Mt Pleasant High School and attended R I College. Her career spanned several companies and she retired from Fire Suppression Systems of RI before moving to Florida.

Toni was very active in her Community and in CVE. She was a member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) with the Deerfield Beach Fire and Rescue and with the COP (Citizen Observer Patrol) with the Broward Sheriff’s Office as a volunteer for many years.

In CVE she was Secretary of the Italian American Club, Treasurer of the Orchestra Guild, Assistant Editor at the Reporter and President of her building, Prescott D.

Toni was a caring, loving and giving person always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be forever missed by her Community and Century Village East.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 9:30 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 South Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach. A memorial service will be held immediately after the Mass at Kraeer-Becker Funeral Home at 217 East Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach.

In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Thank you.

Toni, along with Lori was the first person to welcome me to CVE with open arms. Because of that day, my life changed for the better. It is a Blessing to find someone like Toni to share life's good and bad times.
