Walter Owen “Butch” McDougald, Jr, 76, of Lake Worth, FL, originally of one of the pioneer families of Deerfield Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017. Husband of the late Sandra May Hesselton McDougald. Father of sons Jeffrey (Nancy) and Steven McDougald. Grandfather to Kailey, Wesley, Stephen, David, and Bethany and survived by his partner of 21 years, Diane Taylor.
In 1963, he married Sandra May Hesselton. From Deerfield, they moved to Boca Raton in 1968 and shortly thereafter began McDougald and Son’s Nursery in Delray Beach. He retired but remained involved in the family business until his death. He treasured his family and time with them.
He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, generosity and a lifetime of memories.
