Alice Mefford, 82, died of natural causes on August 17, 2019. She will have a graveside service at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City at 10am on Thursday, August 22, 2019. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 21st from 4 pm until 8 pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City.
Alice was born May 5th, 1937 in Oklahoma City, to Chester Clarence King, Sr. and Edith King. She graduated from Crooked Oak High School in 1955 and went on to have a successful career working at Oklahoma City Federal Savings and Loan, which later became Continental Federal Savings and Loan as a Vice President and Branch Manager until it dissolved. She later worked in various capacities as a loan officer and in the insurance industry as a budget analyst before she retired for good to assist raising her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren.
Ms. Mefford had two children, a daughter named Dana who gave her two grandchildren (David and Cassandra) and three great-grandchildren (Morningstar, David, Jr. from David; and Darian from Cassandra) Her son Phillip gave her three more grandchildren (Sarah, Rebecca and Eli) and four great-grandchildren (Aaron and Patrick from Sarah; and Bladen and Harrison from Rebecca). She loved her family and will be missed by all.
Alice will join her parents in heaven as well as her brother Chester Clarence King, Jr., her sister, Evelyn Hudson, as well as her daughter Dana Michelle Anthony.
