Almeda Carol Preston, 57, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Oklahoma City. She was born February 17, 1952 in Gracemont, OK, to E.C. and Alma Brown. Almeda was raised in Oklahoma City and a member of the Baptist church. Almeda was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Ron Denney. Survivors include her husband, Steve Preston; son, Chad George, and his wife, Rhonda; stepson, Stephen Preston, and his wife, Shawna; stepdaughters: Sheena Ritter and husband, Jesse, and Stephanie Preston; brothers: Alvin Brown and wife, Ura Lee, and Cecil Brown and wife, Gloria; sisters: Wanda Wilson and husband, Jimmy; Geraldine Denney and husband, Ron; Melva Tigrett and husband, Roy; and Karen Steele and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Haven and Walker George; stepgrandchildren: Alexis and Summer Van Hooser; Brayden, Hudson and Cohen Ritter; and Kristopher and Shala Preston. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Sunny Lane Chapel with interment following at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
