Tony grew up in Del City, Oklahoma and graduated from Del City High School, where he was an All-Star baseball player. After graduating, Tony went on to his career as a fire sprinkler installer, spending 40 plus years in the trade. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors, spending time with his family, and playing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed tinkering with items in the garage, grilling thick steaks, and, of course, fishing at farm ponds with his grandchildren and fishing competitively!
Tony was a kind and loving companion to his partner of many years, Cindy Bunch; as well as an amazing father to his sons Dustin and Damon. He was often sought after for advice, and always provided faith-based guidance and instruction. This is exactly how he chose to live his life – by faith!
One of Tony’s greatest accomplishments was being a father. He had always wanted children and considered himself lucky to have two. As kids, his sons Dustin and Damon called their dad a superhero; and even as adults, still see him that way today. Tony was always there for them through their ups and downs, and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer. He took every opportunity to teach and mentor them, and his grandsons, to always place their faith in God.
Tony was preceded in death by his father Charles McClure, his step-father Henry Story, and his brother Jimmy McClure. He is survived by his mother Virginia, his partner Cindy Bunch, sisters Janice Inman and Tami Rouse, sons Dustin McClure and Damon McClure (and wife Stephanie), and his seven grandchildren; Mikaela, Hailey, Brayden, Kason, Daxton, Vincent, and Royce.
The family is holding a public viewing on Friday December 4th, 2020 from 11am to 2pm, followed by his formal funeral on Saturday December 5th, 2020 at 12pm. Both will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
