Today we say goodbye to our husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend - Arturo. A man of deep respect and kindness. He treated everyone with warmth, patience, and a goodness that's rare to find in this world. He was an example to follow, a constant source of support, and a noble heart whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
If you asked anyone who knew him, they'd all tell you the same thing - Arturo was the hardest-working man they ever met. No matter where he went, that was always true. That was his standard. He didn't see truck driving as work - it was his passion. He'd often say how lucky he was to love what he did, and his connection to trucks ran deep. His love for the road was unmatched.
We will miss his sense of humor and his joy in listening to those Tejano radio stations while driving his semi-truck. Arturo also had a deep love for riding his Harley. Some of his happiest times were spent riding across the country with his devoted wife by his side, exploring the open road together with freedom in their hearts.
Above all, Arturo was a devoted family man. He treasured time with his grandchildren- cheering them on at baseball games, taking them on special trips to Five Below, and spoiling them every chance he got. His presence was constant, dependable, and always full of love.
If you needed him, he was there - no questions asked. He will forever live within us, and we will carry every memory with love and pride.
Arturo is survived by his wife Xochitl Villalobos, his children Fabiola Hernandez and husband Gustavo, Marina Martinez and husband Rafael, Lucilia Lazos and partner Jason Collum, Edgar Lazos and his partner Tina Pastran. Ten beloved grandchildren - Izzack, Dominic, Nikolai, Giselle, Joaquin, Giuliana, Luke, Forest, Noah, and Gracely.
He also leaves behind his siblings Maria De Jesús González Escareño, Alicia Vargas, Victoria Federico, Felix Lazos, Pedro Lazos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Juana Lazos.
We will continue to cherish his memory and carry his legacy forward.
We are so proud of you, Dad!
