In Loving Memory of Bahman Shahpouri Arani, "Bob"
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bahman Shahpouri Arani, lovingly known as "Bob" to his friends and family. He departed this world on New Year's Eve, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of laughter and joy.
Bob was born on July 18, 1951, in Abadan, Iran, and later embarked on a remarkable journey that brought him to the United States in the late 70s. Throughout his life, Bob's infectious laughter and quick wit endeared him to everyone he met. He had a unique ability to bring smiles to faces with a well-timed joke or a hearty laugh.
Bob's greatest joys in life were his family, and he was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jennifer, a loving father to his daughter, Ruby “Lulu,” and his son, Zachary “Abi.” He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever inspire his family.
His passion for Persian poetry, classical music, and travel were a testament to his deep connection to his Iranian heritage. Bob's culinary tastes were equally refined—he could often be found savoring a well-cooked Koobideh Kabob, reminiscing about the flavors of his homeland.
Bob's professional journey spanned over two decades in the food and beverage industry, including a memorable tenure at the Waterford Hotel during its inaugural years. He delighted in sharing anecdotes about his encounters with celebrities such as Mohammed Ali, Red Skelton, Lauren Bacall, as well as the Osbornes, among others who he graciously served.
In pursuit of more quality time with his children, Bob transitioned from his career in the food and beverage industry to join the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where he extended a helping hand to countless families in need. His compassion, empathy, and dedication made a lasting impact on the lives of those he assisted.
Bahman Shahpouri Arani, "Bob," was a beacon of light, a source of laughter, and a pillar of support to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Arani; his adoring children, Ruby and Zachary Arani; and his dear brothers, Reza, Bahram, Benham (Isfahan, Iran), and Darnesh (Toronto, Canada). His memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to call him friend.
May Bob's soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to bring smiles and laughter to all of us.
