Barbara Capps

Barbara Capps, 64, passed away after a short illness May 30, 2009. Barbara was born August 4, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to Eugene and Naomi (McCoy) Reaves. Barbara had a very big and generous heart. She loved helping people and would give the shirt off of her back, sometimes she would give more than she had to give. She loved being with her grandchildren; her dogs, especially Abby. She always had plans to do something more, enjoyed tinkering on her vintage volkswagon bugs, playing the video game Halo, crocheting, quilting by hand and cooking. The family fondly remembers her beans, cornbread fried potatoes and onions. After retirement she enjoyed cooking Italian and seasoning on her own. She also babysat for 4 dogs. She is survived by her son: James Capps and wife Tara; daughter: Taletha Cook and husband Terry; 6 grandchildren: Tamara Cook, Taylor Cook, Terra Cook, Hannah Capps, Zach Sanders, Denny Sanders; great granddaughter: Emma Sanders; room-mate Sharon Mings. Preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Noami; sister: Glenda Stone; grandmother Alta McCoy. Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Sunny Lane Chapel.
