Barbara Marjorie Gesell died suddenly of natural causes Jan 1, 2011. She is now with her Lord and Savior. Barbara was born Dec 4, 1921 to Lee and Mary Cunningham of Dubuque, Iowa. She was an Ensign in the Navy Nurse Corps during WWII. She married Otto Gesell Aug 20, 1949 at Corpus Christi Church, OKC, OK.
They were blessed with 7 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Barbara had retired from Tinker AFB where she worked as an RN in Occupational Health, Bldg 3001. She was a long time parishioner of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Her generosity was boundless. We will miss your laugh and humor, Mom. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wed, Jan 5, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Thurs Jan 6, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
