Barbara Darlene Mellinger

Barbara grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Capital Hill High School.

In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, but her most treasured hobby was caring for her family. She cared for her mother and sisters, and her family was very important to her. Her memories will be treasured, and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Barbara is survived by her children, William B. Blewett IV and his wife Julie, and Michael C Blewett and his wife Mary; grandchildren, Shilo Jackson and her partner Justin, as well as their children Madison and Hunter, Tracey Smith and husband James, and their children Lizzy, Lainee, and James, Jessica Harrington and her husband Brett, and Jonathan Blewett and his wife, Sara Grace; as well as three great grandchildren.

Proceeding her in death are her parents, Joseph Daniel Kittrell and Maude Viola Kittrell; son, Robert Lee Blewett; sisters, Violet Noreen, Esther Mae, June Marie, and Bonnie Jean; brothers, Virgil Alonzo, Joseph Wayne, and Charles Ray.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, from 4:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, at 10:00 am at Bill Eisenhour at Sunny Lane, 4000 SE 29th St in Del City. Committal to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
