Betty Louise Leader passed away on December 8, 2020. She was born on July 25, 1943 in Elk City, OK to Arthur Melton and Grace Hunt. She was one of seven children. At 5’2”, Betty worked as a security guard for many years. She went to school for interior design, which was her passion. She loved sewing, craft projects, and love to read the Bible. She also loved to sit around the table chatting with her sisters while they read magazines.
She is preceded in death by her father; brother, Larry Melton; and sister, Lucille Melton. She is survived by her mother, Grace Melton; siblings, Patsy Melton, Randy Melton, Mickey Melton, and Pauline Bentley; nephew, Freddy Sweet; niece, Cindy Wiley; nephew, Ricky Vails; and other family and friends. She was loved dearly by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.
