Beverly “Sue” (Boydston) Martin passed away surrounded by loved ones in her home in Norman, Oklahoma on Friday, July 5, 2024. Sue was born in Wheeler, Texas on February 8, 1960 to Clifton Wayne Boydston and Velma “Louise” (Harrison) Boydston.
She married the love of her life Edward E. “Ernie” Martin on December 12, 1983. Together they shared over 40 years of life’s adventures.
Sue grew up in Allison, Texas and graduated from Allison I.S.D. in 1978. Sue loved God and her family dearly and had a passion for making things beautiful. She was a beautician owning and operating several hair salons in various places. She was a free spirit and loved spending time outdoors especially with family and friends at the lake and the mountains, riding motorcycles and even hunting. She was loving, caring, courageous, creative. She was beautiful inside and out and will be remembered for her huge heart, sweet smile and laugh.
She was preceded in death by a son, Adam Edward Martin, a sister, Wanda Louise Walker, her parents and her mother-in-law, Pauline Martin and father-in-law, Edward Martin.
Sue is survived by her husband Edward E. “Ernie” Martin, daughter Kristi Sue Hansbro, sons Jerimy Dee Montgomery (Maura) and Timothy Wayne Montgomery, four sisters Shirley Chadwick, LaQuinta Hulse (Mike), Cheryl Griego (Anthony), Kim Thompson (Chuck), two brothers Gary Boydston (Julie), Bennie Boydston (Deb), three brother-in-law’s Eddy Walker (Sheila), Gene Martin (Rachel), Billie Baker (Ellie) two sister-in-law’s, Tricia Morgan (Wayne), Sherie Ewert (Pete), five grandchildren Lucas Dylan and Logan Dee Montgomery, Brianna Jolie Duff (Eythan), Brayden Lee Hansbro and Katelynn Marie Montgomery and a host of extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for food and fellowship to celebrate her life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Bourbon Street Café OKC Bricktown from 2-5pm. We extend a special thanks to her dear cousin, Ward Harrison, for graciously hosting and a lifetime of friendship.
