

Carl Joe Dale Lane, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 10th in McLoud, Oklahoma. Born on May 16, 1940, at his home in Henryetta, Oklahoma, Carl was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, Uncle, and friend.
As a young child, Carl's family moved to Del City, where he attended school in Midwest City. At the age of 17, Carl joined the Army, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant by the time he was discharged in 1968. Following his military service, Carl worked as an electronic technician, eventually retiring from Lucent in 2004.
After his retirement, Carl moved to Eufaula, Oklahoma, where he enjoyed spending his time on the lake and volunteering for the Porum Volunteer Fire Department.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert D. Lane and Nettie M. Clark, and his siblings Loulabell Sawyer, Elsie Jones, Bud Lane, Forest Lane, Freddie Lane, Verna Lord, Barbara Massingale, and Danny Lane. He is also preceded in death by his wives Patsy Lee Biggs Lane, Mary Margaret Lane, Karen Jo Lane, and Peggy Lane.
Carl is survived by his loving daughter Tammie Jo Smith, her husband Mike Smith, 8 step children, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, his sister Daisy Keith, and his brother Howard Lane,
Carl's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and resilience lives on in his family and friends.
A celebration of Carl's life will be held on July 18 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Chapel, 5005 SE 29th Del City, OK 73115, at 2:00pm with a gathering following at Golden Corral, 1501 S Sooner Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73110, to honor his incredible journey and the impact he had on those around him. May he rest in peace.
