Carol Janet Gallion, 86, of Oklahoma City, passed into the mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ on June 24, 2025. She was born in Oklahoma City on October 1, 1938 to Neil and Jo McAnulty. She is survived by her sister Rita, Niece Christa, Nephew Doug, Son David, Daughter-in-law Helen, and six grandchildren.
Carol graduated from Capitol Hill High School, received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southern Nazarene University in 1961 and a master's degree in Education from The University of Oklahoma in 1972.
Carol worked as a teacher for Oklahoma City Public Schools, a part-time psychology instructor at OKC Southwestern College, an Accounting and Quality Control Specialist for American Airlines, a music teacher for Mustang Public Schools, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor for Moore Public Schools in 1978 from where she retired in 2004.
Carol's passions were playing piano, nature trails, RV-ing, Jeeping in the Colorado Rockies, and traveling domestically and abroad.
Carol's personal statement was, “I am a happy person. I have a good life. I love God and His creations, people, animals, and nature.”
A graveside service will be held for Carol on Wednesday July 16 at 10am at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK.
