Carthell Yvonne Caswell

Carthell was born March 8, 1926 to Willis and Mamie Price in Hollis, OK. Carthell was an only child and was totally spoiled by her parents and grandparents. She met Coy Lynn Caswell in grade school and over their school days developed a close relationship that resulted in their marriage on July 19, 1946. That relationship lasted until Lynn's death in November 2006. Lynn was Carthell's closest friend and the love of her life.

Carthell came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ at the age of twelve. Her Christian baptism was in a pond near the Sandy Baptist Church in Hollis, OK under the direction of Pastor Frank Godso.

After moving to Del City, OK, Lynn & Carthell joined First Southern Baptist Church in Del City, OK. For the past five years, Carthell was a member of Sooner Baptist. Although Carthell and Lynn never had children, they had a multitude of "children in the Lord" whom they loved and were loved in return. She considered her church to be her family. Those especially close were Joyce & Steve Fuller, Martha & George Tousey, & Pam Mowen and her faithful caretakers: Ramona Griffin, Susan Guidry, Cheryll Hulsey, Pam Shopteese and Carol Uffen. She also was appreciative of the Red Hat Ladies. Also, a special thanks to CJ and all those at Quality Hospice.

A celebration of Carthell's life will be Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:00am at Sooner Baptist Church - Midwest City, OK. Interment will be 3:00pm, at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis, OK. Visitation will be at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home on Sat. April 23, 2011 from 3-5pm. For more information go to www.eisenhourfuneral.com
