

Cary Allen McDonnal, 64-year-old resident of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on February 7, 2010 in Zion, Illinois. Born September 4, 1945 in Newark, CA he was the son of John Ed McDonnal and Maggie (Shults) McDonnal. He had been a resident of Oklahoma City since 1983 and had been attending First Southern Baptist Church in Del City, OK. Cary was a former 42-year employee of GM, working in many positions including management, Union Positions, and line worker over the years. He married Cheryl A. Lutz in Sun, CA on February 11, 1984. Cary was a high school football star in Newark, CA and was a former police officer in Fremont, CA. He loved NASCAR, Boxing, the Oakland Raiders Football team, taking his granddaughters swimming and anywhere else they wanted to go and being outdoors doing yardwork, etc. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings, Jess McDonnal; Nima Lou Holcraft; Jan Blanchard; and Dot Reed. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of the home; 2 sons, Cary McDonnal, Jr. of California; Troy Lutz and his wife Christy of Moore, OK; 1 daughter, Melanie Plemmons and husband Cecil of Waynesville, NC; 4 grandchildren, Michael McDonnal currently proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps; Devyn Lutz; Brea Lutz; and Blaine Andrews; two brothers, Jack McDonnal of Turlock, CA; and Ray McDonnal of Tracy, CA; many nieces and nephews include his niece Pam Butler who was his caregiver while he was in the Chicago area. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Del City, OK with burial to follow in Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK.
