

Charles Roy Duncan passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 29th. He was born July 1, 1945 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Roy and Lucille (Knauss) Duncan. Charles joined the Navy at 17, where he was stationed on the USS Wandank. He was supposed to come back to the states on his 21st birthday, but was rerouted to Vietnam. After his eventual discharge from the military in 1968, he worked at Unit Parts for several years before joining the Midwest City Police department in 1973. During his 20+ years at the department, he was awarded numerous awards and commendations for his work. He retired from the department in 1996 with the intent of looking for other positions in law enforcement. He found that he was having so much fun playing with his old cars, he spent the last 30 years rebuilding everything from Thunderbirds to Studebakers to Model A’s.
Charles leaves behind Connie, his wife of 56 years, his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and David Weller-Fahy (Massachusetts) and 4 grandchildren: Brady, Kayley, Brian and Adam. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister (Barbara Gary) and daughter, Carrie Bivins.
His Funeral Service will take place at 2pm on Saturday, May 2 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. Visitation will be from 11-1pm on Saturday.
