

Clayton Allen Gilley went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 12, 2014, in Moore, Oklahoma. Clayton was born April 15, 1919 to Manse G. Gilley and Anna Bell (Payne) Gilley in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Clayton was a modest man and understood the value of doing things the old fashioned way and enjoyed sharing stories about the good old days. Clayton enjoyed road trips and traveling as well; he even lived in Modesto, California for several years. Clayton found pleasure in collecting simple things like Clocks, knives, and toy cars; and he liked shopping at garage sales. He enjoyed the Lord’s music, especially if it was his wife Marie’s singing. Above all Clayton was a man of God and he loved his family unconditionally. Clayton is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dural Gilley; his first wife, Glenda (Brown) Gilley; and all of his siblings. Clayton is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marie Gilley of the home; one son, John Leonard and wife Sandra of Jones, Oklahoma; two daughters: Frances Short and husband Ted of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lisa Hatchell and husband Tony of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews including; Colleen Stanton, Paula Waltz, Ron Gilley, Alvin Gilley, and Harold Gilley.
