Clayton Paul Owen went into the loving arms of Jesus on April 9, 2021. He was born on April 20, 1997 to Alan and Debi Owen. He grew up in Oklahoma City, and had three siblings, Cameron, Chelsea, and Cortney. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 2018. He competed in the softball throw and the 25-meter walk at the Special Olympics for many years, through Deer Creek schools. Clayton loved watching all sports, and loved to cheer for OKC Thunder, OU Football, and the OU Girls Softball team. He had a smile that was contagious, and he lit up any room he entered. He loved to tell people, especially girls, that they were cute and pretty!
Clayton had a challenging life, but was able to overcome any hardships that came his way. He showed everybody that no matter how difficult you had it, you still had to have strength to just get through the day. He had such a big heart, and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Beatrice Owen; and maternal grandparents, Francis and Norma-Jean Gendreau.
He is survived by his parents, Alan and Debi Owen; siblings, Cameron Owen, Chelsea Sexton (husband Tyler), and Cortney Owen; paternal grandfather, Steve Owen; niece, Kammy Owen, and nephew, Tommy Sexton; uncle George Owen and aunt Terri Owen; uncle Duane Gendreau; and many other family and friends.
