Connie Wilson Miller, age 61 and a native of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly February 17, 2014 in Cypress, Texas.

Connie was born on December 29, 1952 in Oklahoma City. She attended Del City High School and college at the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma. Her professional career spanned some 35 years in public education, teaching and administration. Connie and husband Jim retired to Cypress in 2012 to be near their family. Connie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother (Gran), sister, aunt and daughter. She brightened the lives of everyone who knew and loved her. Connie displayed uncanny organizational skills in all aspects of her life, and always considered the wants and needs of others before her own. She always made sure to include everyone’s favorite dishes at each holiday meal.

Connie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jim Miller, daughter Stephanie (John) Cumpton, grandchildren Carlie and Jackson Cumpton, sister Lisa (Michael)

Morris, and niece Allie (Brinton) Nute, brother in law Ron (Lee) Miller, and nephew Heath Miller, and niece Barbara Miller and sister in law Lynetta (Charlie) Giroux, and nephew Matt (Chelsea) Tacha and great nephew Micah, and niece Kristen Giroux.

She was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Ebbie Wilson of Del City and her nephew Zachary Wilson Morris, and Roy and Bernice Miller of Vinita.

Services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel, Del City, Oklahoma.
