Connie Jo Moore passed away on August 23, 2020. She was born on July 12, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK to William “Slim” Wilson and Ruth Marie Wilson. She grew up with three sisters, and attended Del City High School. She married Don Edmond Moore on December 3, 1954. Together they owned and operated Don’s Alley Restaurant since 1955. They had six children, who all at some point or another worked at the restaurant. Along with her children, Connie had 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who all loved her dearly.
One of Connie’s favorite things to do was gardening and tending to her flowers. She also was an animal lover and avid bird watcher, and had a pet bird named Junior and a dog named Maggie. She loved to watch sports, including golf, bowling, and basketball; she was a part of a bowling league as well as the PTA Mom’s Basketball league. Having six children kept Connie busy, so she was constantly driving them around to different places. She was a wonderful caregiver and the rock of the family. She was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William “Slim” and Ruth Wilson; three sisters, Shirley Buchanan, Barbara Moore, and Sharon Moore; and daughter-in-law, Tina.
She is survived by her husband, Don Moore; six children, Gregory Moore, Mark Moore, Tammy Davison (husband Grant), Dawnna Clark (husband Bryan), Joel Moore (wife Shelley), and Jennifer Lepchenske; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family.
