Connie Marie Treloar
July 4, 1933 – August 31, 2020
Thank you so much for being here. I wish my mom could see this gathering of family and loved ones but she is busy enjoying her new surroundings. Today, our mother is with her family that preceded her, brother Larry, grandson Johnathan, and husband Melvin.
Born on July 4, 1933 in Atoka, OK. Mom passed away on August 31, 2020 at 87 years of age. Some people thought of Mom (Connie) as a bit eccentric and maybe she was. After all she worked for the Pinkertons and did modeling which is about as diverse as it gets. Mom did the very best she could within her portion of this world. She loved her family and literally would do anything to help. Her small home would often expanded in size to provide a place for those who were in need. The only thing she asked in return was respect and help others around her home. It was a joy to watch Moms house grow even bigger when she married her husband, Melvin. He was her partner, friend, and the ultimate Clyde to her Bonnie in the many, many adventures we all watched them share. Mom loved all her children and worked hard to prove it, however her grandchildren had a special place in her heart. While Mom said she didn’t know if she was ready for grandchildren, her son-in-law and birth of her first grandchild gave her all the motivation she would need. Living close to her very pregnant daughter, on the day of birth for her first grandchild, her son-in-law choose to run to her door step rather than calling to let Mom know it was time. It was at that point, Mom was fond of saying, ready or not for grandchildren, this new generation would never make it without her.
In the end, Mom had seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
