

Curtis graduated from Marcos de Niza High School, went on a church mission trip to Germany for two years, and then joined the US Air Force in 1983. He married Michelle Bond in March of 1983 and together they raised 5 children and lived across Europe and the U.S. In 2006 he joined the Nevada Army National Guard and honorably retired from service in 2011.
Curtis was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed volunteering for the Veterans Affairs (VA) as well as the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), where in 2026 he was honored as the Disabled Veteran of the Year.
Curtis is survived by his mother Joyce Bond, wife Michelle, children: Trista Bond, Melina (James) Potter, Kyle (Stephanie) Bond, Marc (Charlene) Bond, Alyssa (Brian) Campbell, and twelve grandchildren, as well as his 5 siblings.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 26th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City followed by a funeral service at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 27th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Midwest City, OK. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. that same day at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK.
