

David Wayne Lillegaard, 87, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, sadly left us on August 8, 2024. David was born on August 13, 1936 in Austin, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Anita Lillegaard, and siblings, Keith Lillegaard and Joyce Lillegaard; wives, Carol (Dyer) Lillegaard and Betty (Thomas) Lillegaard; and daughter, Kim Lillegaard. He is survived by sons, Randy Lillegaard (partner, Kim Titus) and Robby Lillegaard (partner, Shelley Griffin), and Keri Geurtin (husband, Kevin), Mickie Stover, Diana Barnaby, and Darla McBride (husband, Scott), and grandchildren, Cory Lillegaard, Casey Lillegaard, Michael Beene, Amanda Beene, Tyler Payne, Kyle Lillegaard, Ryan Lillegaard, James Stover, Jeryn Ramero, Tammi Brumley, Jennifer Hargis, Megan McBride and Cale McBride along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
David grew up in Lyle, MN, and at age 18, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served with the rank of Air Force Staff Flightline. During his 5 years of service, he was stationed at bases in Italy, Africa, Morocco and lastly, Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, OK, and settling in Del City, OK. While serving at Tinker AFB, he met Carol Dyer, the mother of his three children. During their early years, he owned a service station, David's Texaco on Walker, as well as sponsored a dirt track race car for many years. He was eventually employed in civil service at Tinker AFB until his retirement. He and Carol enjoyed and owned a ceramics shop in the 70s and 80s until her passing. He always loved farming. He and his second wife, Betty, lived on the farm in McLoud, OK for over 20 years.
Though David will be greatly missed, he will continue to live in the hearts of his family and friends.
