

David Long was born September 14, 1968, in Hayward California to Lucy and Carl Long. David left this life on June 24, 2024. David was a strong yet gentle soul, he never knew a stranger, that is evident by the numerous friends and acquaintances he has made throughout his life.
David enjoyed many of the simple things in life, being outdoors was something he cherished most, whether it was spending time in the yard tending to the grass and flowers, fishing or just being out on a nature trail. David also was a lover of animals, he loved the company of the family pets, Daisy, Sophie and Jack. David also enjoyed spending time with friends and family doing different activities, especially Billie Jo and his son Brent.
David did a lot in his life, anything he put his mind to was possible for him. For many years he was a chef and managed different restaurants in the Oklahoma City Metro area. Probably the most notable of these was Chequers restaurant in Midwest City. At Chequers, where he worked for many years he was able to touch the lives of the many employees and local patrons through the food he made and his presence. Any day of the week you went, you were likely to see or hear him there. Later in his career he then began work at Tinker Air Force base where he was able to quickly use his experience to become successful in his different roles. He was loved by many of his friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his Son Brent Long, mother Lucy Long, brothers and sisters, Stacy Carl and Peter. He was preceded in death by wife Charlotte Long, and father Carl Long.
