

David Michael Lane, 39, of Del City, OK passed away on October 28th, 2012 in Midwest City, OK. He was born on August 16, 1973 in Midwest City, OK to David Earl Lane and Sharon June Austin. David lived most of his life in Del City where he also attended Del City High School. Eventually he relocated to Natchez, MS in 2001 where his father lived. David was back and forth from Del City, OK to Natchez, MS until 2008 when he moved back to Del City for his final years. He lived with Girlfriend Ashley Henson until his passing. She has been a strong support blanket for him in the last years of his life. David was a very skilled worker. He worked at American Builders Supply working his way up from a grinder to a welder and on to a Shop Supervisor. He then worked his way into sales. David worked at ABS from 1992-1998. After working at ABS, he went on to work at The Doublelife Corporation. He was a Tig Welder until 2001, when he moved to Natchez, MS. When he moved to Natchez, MS, he continued working with his hands and got a job at the Nissan Manufacturing Plant. Where, again, he started from the bottom and worked his way into a management position. He was the head of maintenance for the entire plant. David is survived by his 5 children: Son, Lane Hatley; daughters: Sharvea Gage, Kierstean Lane, Mickalee & Mei-Lei Lane, brother; Terry Lane and his wife Kelly; sisters, Amy Lane and Tammy Cochnauer and husband Jason, Stephanie Miller and husband Heath; step-mother, Hilda Lane, nephews; Steven Nolan, Cruise Cain, and Preston Diamond, nieces; Sydney & Kendall Lane, Victoria Barns, Ashley Brant, Jessica Cochnauer, Kyran Cain and step-father ,Victor Hollis. He is preceded in death by his father, David Earl Lane, mother, Sharon June Austin, brother, Roy Dunigan, and grandparents; Wanda and Bill Austin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 12 pm until 8 pm at Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10 am in the Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK.
