

Deanna Lou Clanton (Brady) peacefully departed this life on March 13, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 83. Deanna was born on July 2, 1942, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Jack and Dora (May) Brady. From a young age, she carried with her a strong work ethic, a tender heart, and a devotion to family that would shape the rest of her life.
After graduating from Eufaula High School, Deanna married the love of her life, Jack Clanton, on October 26, 1960, in Arapaho, Oklahoma. Together they built a beautiful life filled with dedication, laughter, and love. Their first home was in Weatherford, Oklahoma, before settling in Del City in 1968, where Deanna would spend the next 57 years creating memories with her family and friends.
Deanna retired in 2008 from Aetna and BCBS after 34 years of service. She was highly respected for her work in coding, MSP, and medical review and fraud. Her commitment to excellence earned her the Prestigious Program Integrity Award from the U.S. Office of Inspector General. She also faithfully served as President of the 701 Club for 19 years. Her career reflected her integrity, intelligence, and desire to help others.
Outside of work, Deanna filled her life with simple joys that brought her great happiness. She cherished Friday night dinners with friends and looked forward every year to girls' trips filled with shopping, laughter, and lifelong memories. She was an avid sports fan, cheering passionately for the Oklahoma Sooners and the OKC Thunder. Her warmth, sense of humor, and ability to make others feel loved were just a few of the qualities that made her so special.
Deanna was a devoted member of Eastwood Baptist Church, where her faith was nurtured and strengthened throughout the years. Her church family meant a great deal to her, and she treasured their friendship and support.
A heartfelt thank-you goes to Eastwood Baptist Church for their prayers and meal trains, and for making everyone feel they were her favorite person. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Julie White and her team at Oklahoma Heart Research for their care, kindness, and support.
Deanna is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 59 years and 7 months; her brothers, Jack Brady Jr. and John Paul Brady; her sister, Wynema Palmer; and her nephew, Richard Palmer.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her three sons: Butch Clanton of Eufaula, Tony Clanton of the home, and Jo-Don Clanton of Norman. Deanna was a proud and loving grandmother to Tracey Parrott, Shane Clanton, Cody Clanton, Christopher Clanton, Lacie Clanton, Colby Clanton, Derek Clanton, Kashyn Clanton, Talyn Clanton, and Haley Jolly; and she was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren. Her family, along with a host of extended relatives and friends, will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115, on March 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Eastwood Baptist Church, 12251 E Reno Ave, Midwest City, OK 73130, on March 30, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Deanna will be laid to rest at 2:30pm Monday, March 30, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula, OK.
