Dewey was here when I was born so I have no memory of life without him in mine. My earliest memories were of us hiding under mom and dad's bed and snickering while mom was having a nervous breakdown looking for us. When he started to school, I was lost without him! I remember waiting for the bus to return him home and my memories of him leading the pack began when he emerged from the bus grinning from ear to ear with all of his paperwork and then him promptly ordering me to the kitchen table where he excitedly and methodically began to teach me everything he had learned that day; which made my first year in school very boring because I already knew the drill. When I started to school the year after he did I was met by his teachers who were now my teachers; asking me if I was Dewey Craig's sister. I was apprehensive at first but when my answer was yes, they all smiled and stated that he had been a pleasure to teach, a great student and that they were sure I would follow suit. That immediately set a very high bar for me to reach that lasted throughout my years in the Del City school system. I proudly followed him through school where I had the same teachers he had and he was dubbed " the teacher's pet" He was very popular all through school and in high school all of the girls would ask me if I was Dewey Craig's sister and again when I replied yes, Their next question would be, can we come over? He was always, always the most beautiful boy and man.
In our teens when he got his first car he was appalled when our dad told him that I had to go with him everywhere. So, he would pretend that I could go and the first chance he got he would take me to the Del City Theater where he would order me out of the car and instruct me to promptly meet him back on time.
Dewey always had our backs when we were kids and into adulthood. He was an intrical part of our lives from the beginning and our "big brother" who always tried to lead us by example to the very end. HE IS MISSED!

I am so sorry to hear that Dewey has passed, the memories I have of him was when he and Janice were younger. Especially remember going to the lake with Greg, Danna, Janice, Dewey, Glen and I. I remember we got lost on the lake and drove the boat around all night trying to find our camp site. Greg was pulling Glen skiing and ran upon a sand bar, Glen came completely out of the skis and the prop was bent. It was the funniest thing to see Glen standing in the middle of the lake with his skies standing up behind him stuck in the sand. Those were good memories. My heart goes out to Janice and family, I know Dewey will be sorely missed.
