Don J. Armstrong, 78, resident of Del City, OK passed away July 21, 2014. He was born in Dallas, TX Sept. 17, 1935 to Albert and Jessie Armstrong. He married Velma Lea Norris on Aug. 14, 1953. He loved playing country music on his guitar, bowling (once bowled a perfect 300 game), and cracking pecans to share with family, friends and neighbors, but his greatest love was his beautiful wife and family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Vel, his parents, 7 siblings, and 1 great grandson. He is survived by his children Don E. Armstrong (Rachel) of Choctaw, OK, Jack Armstrong (Jaretta) of Del City, OK, Tammy Gallian (Russ) of St. George, UT, and Cyndy Hyatt (Mike) of Costa Mesa, CA, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, 1 sister Mary Nelson of Dallas, TX and 1 brother John Armstrong of Grand Prairie, TX. Visitation will be Friday July 25, 2014 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home and Cemetery from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside service Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
