Donald Adrian “Don” Coffman was born in Antlers, OK on October 1, 1935, and passed away due to complications of pneumonia on April 28, 2011. He married his wife Edith (Huotte) in Great Falls, Montana on January 11, 1958. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edith; one daughter Kathy Sue Coffman Padilla of Moore; two grandchildren Tanaia Thomas of Morrison, CO, and Sara Padilla of Del City; one great-grandson, Braden Thomas of Morrison, CO; and by his brother Larry Joe Coffman of Oklahoma City (and wife Becky). He was preceded in death by his parents Beulah Loraine (Brewer) and Arthur Alva “Dutch” Coffman, and his brother Arthur Harold “Art” Coffman. He is also survived by nephews Arthur Bryan Coffman (and wife Stephanie), Andrew Brent Coffman (and fiancée Shayna), and Larry Joe Coffman Jr.; niece Amy Coffman; great nieces Alyssa Coffman, Hannah Coffman and Lindsey Coffman; great nephews Bryce Coffman and Quinn Coffman; great-great nephew Gabriel Coffman; and numerous cousins and their families. Don graduated from Capitol Hill High School in the class of 1954. He loved all sports, and served in the Navy reserves and the United States Air Force from 1954 - 1958. He worked many years in the Oklahoma City and Del City area as an insurance agent, in engine repair and auto parts, and lastly as 0wner of Crutcho Auto Salvage. He enjoyed horse races and playing blackjack at the Fire Lake Casino. Don was a man of few words, but he always had a joke or riddle to share when you saw him. Don loved his family very much and supported them through good and bad times. He was not judgmental with family, and helped them regardless. He was greatly loved and will be missed and remembered fondly. Viewing will be from 8:00 – 5:00, Saturday, April 30 – Monday, May 2 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, Del City. Services will be held Tuesday, May 3 at 10:00 AM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home chapel, Del City, with interment immediately following at Sunny Lane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
