Donald Fletcher Guinn
July 15, 1932 – March 11, 2023

Donald Fletcher Guinn, 90 of Del City, Oklahoma, went home be with the Lord Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was born July 15, 1932, in Ink, Arkansas to Fletcher Lorenzo Guinn and Retha Almarene (Rosson) Guinn, in one of the two little log cabins that was built by his dad, Fletcher.
Don grew up in Mena, Arkansas and graduated from Mena High School in 1950 where he played football and played the bass horn in the marching band. As a boy he delivered newspapers on his bicycle in the rocky dirt roads around Mena and as a teenager “peddled ice” on the same country roads. As a young man he drove a Pepsi Cola delivery truck to stores throughout southwestern Arkansas area and later sold life insurance policies. After completing training to be an electrician he went to work for Evans Electric Motor Repair Co. in Oklahoma City for 40 plus years.
On July 17, 1955, he was married to Jewel “Lorene” Harris and they were happily married for 45 years and were blessed with 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
On March 1, 2003 he married Doris “Dottie” Griffin and they enjoyed their time together until her death in June of 2014.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene on October 4, 2000, his parents Fletcher & Retha Guinn, his second wife Dottie (Griffin) Guinn and one great grandson Noah Conrad Whitt. He is survived by his sister Helen Jo Eubank, his children: Larry & Barbara Guinn, Jewel Watts and her husband Donnie, Anita McCord and her husband Mike: 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral in Del City, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery also in Del City. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday the 14th at the funeral home.
