Donna Rose, truly a one of kind mother, grandmother and twice widowed wife left this world on December 16, 2017 after a long bout with COPD. Donna is survived by her four daughters, Brenda, Joni, Sandra, and Laura (their husbands). She was preceded in death by her first husband Estol Lee Moore (from 1952-1963), and her second husband Harley “Gene” Rose (1963-2012), her lifelong best friend of 70 years Virginia Loretta Plumlee, two sisters and parents. Her family was her passion, and she leaves behind an amazing legacy of 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson! Donna was a homemaker for the majority of her life, keeping a house that was the cleanest on the block. She loved watching the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, OU Sooners and OSU Cowboys football teams. Most Friday nights you could catch her at the Old Orchard Diner, and you could always count on an ice cold Coke or Diet Coke, Werther’s Originals, Sandie Cookies and great conversations when visiting her house.
A lifelong devout Christian, is certainly celebrating with our Lord in Heaven. We love you mom/grandma, we will leave the TV burning at night.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. Graveside Service will be held at 2pm Wed. December 20, 2017 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
