Doris Dean Chesshir passed away on November 14, 2018. She was born on August 18, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up in Jones, OK and graduated from Jones High School in 1951. Doris lived all over the country, and had various jobs such as working in accounting for the Oklahoma Publishing Corporation and the Oklahoma Journal. At one time, she even read Tarot cards, and had Parakeets and birds that she would show. She loved Boston terriers. Doris was a very strong willed woman. She was an artist and quilter, and loved to paint.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elsie; her husband, Leeds Chesshir; and her son, Rick Newman.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Chandler (husband Royce); son, Tom Seedorf (wife Barbara); son, Jeff Newman (wife Jacque); seven grandchildren, Katina, Nichole, Tommi Sue, Leslie, Wendy, Samantha, and Bo; five great-grandchildren, Talen, Brooke, Maya, Maddi, and Laken; and three sisters, Barbara Miller, Norma Guild, and Della McKinney.
