Dorothy Eunice Seavey, 97, formerly of Portland, Maine, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born on June 4, 1919, in Portland, Maine, a daughter of the late Bertha Mae (Merrill) and William Colby Campbell.
While she held many jobs, Dorothy served her country as a welder during World War II on the various Liberty Ships in South Portland, Maine. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and baking for her family.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Hazel Peterson, Winifred Sheppard and Ethel Mahoney; one brother, George Campbell and son-in-law William Olon Brady. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Katherine Brady of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Judith Hubbard of Bangor, Maine. Also surviving are grandchildren Lori and Jeff Kuhns, Cindy and Ronald Peterson, Kevin Brady, Sheila Wentworth, Theresa Wentworth, Lori Stark, Lisa Wentworth, Bill and Jill Wentworth, Shawn and Melanie Hubbard along with sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
