

Dorothy May Hall, 86, passed away on August 20, 2016 in Norman, OK. She was born on September 2, 1929 in Kenefic, Oklahoma to Marion Demp Vaughan and Hester Herlene (Welhelm) Vaughan. Dorothy met her husband Charles in Kenefic, Oklahoma and on December 28, 1946 they were married in Durant, Oklahoma. Charles worked at Tinker Air Force Base until retirement and Dorothy worked as a nurse from 1956 until 1968. Charles and Dorothy moved to Oklahoma City in 1947. In 1952 they moved to Del City where they raised their 3 children.
They were members of Sooner Baptist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Dorothy enjoyed working in her flower garden, going to the lake, music, cooking, playing bingo and spending time with her family. Dorothy’s children say her greatest accomplishment in life was caring for Charles while he was ill. She was always a wonderful caregiver to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Daws Hall; siblings Olen Vaughan, Robert Vaughan, Frances Sawyer, Houston Vaughan, and Norman Vaughan; grandson-in-law Ronald J. Treadway and step-great-grandson-in-law Zachary Carson. Survivors include her son Phillip Hall and wife Phyllis, daughter Phyllis Fowler and husband Jon, daughter Vickie Coyle and husband Mike; grandchildren Jeff Hall, Stacy Hall, Valerie Carson and husband Billy, Lori Elder and husband Chris, Alicia Shive and husband Steve, Julie Nieves, Jennifer Sargent and husband Glen, and Lindsey Cox and husband Chris; great-grandchildren Emily Mullen, Dillon Hall, Rowdy Hall, Landon Hall, Jordan Keener, Kaitlyn Battige, Bobby Battige, Tiffany Battige, Trenton Battige, Bailey Moon, Brandon Moon, Garrett Carson, Jacob Hays, Nicholas Treadway, Zachary Treadway, Kylee Shive, Ethan Shive, Charles Tanner Nieves, Austin Nieves, Zachary Sargent, Brady Sargent, Megan Cox and
Pressley Cox; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Sunnylane Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com.
